The charity R U OK? states on it’s website that suicide prevention is an enormously complex and sensitive challenge the world over.
One practical way we can help though is to start the conversation – and that’s exactly what Buslink QLD did when we hosted employee coffee mornings on September 13th for R U OK? DAY.
Although a difficult topic, it was important for employees to know that staying connected and having meaningful conversations about life’s ups and downs is something we can all do. We don’t need to be experts, just good friends and great listeners. All events were well received and we hope the discussions around R U OK? provided everyone with some great takeaways.
Now in it’s 10th year, this national day of action not only raises awareness of suicide prevention but it reminds us that every day is an R U OK? day. For more information go to ruok.org.au
