Do you need a new Buslink school travel pass for 2020?

2020 school travel passes will be re-issued at the beginning of Term 1. Passes will be available for collection as follows:

Sunshine Coast – Passes will be available for collection from your child’s school on or after the first day of term.  For more information on this please contact our office at Kunda Park on 07 5476 6622.

Gladstone – Passes will be available to collect from our depot at 9 Lyons Street Gladstone.  For more information please contact our office in Gladstone on 07 4972 1670.

You will need a new school travel pass for your child if:

  • your child is moving from primary school to secondary school
  • you have changed address
  • you have changed travel days on the bus
  • you have enrolled them at a different school

If your circumstances have not changed you do not need to re-apply for a pass.

How do I apply for a Buslink school travel pass?

Your child may be eligible for free bus travel

To download an application form go to your bus service Sunshine Coast, or your bus service Gladstone.

If my child is ineligible for free travel, how do I pay the top up fare?

Students with a Buslink part pass (part payment) can purchase single, daily or weekly tickets from the bus driver using cash. If your student is travelling Monday to Friday in both morning and afternoons, it is cheaper to purchase a weekly ticket. Please do not pay your top up with a Go Card or you will be paying the full fare.

If a student does not qualify for a Buslink pass they will be required to pay the full cash fare or purchase a Go Card to save up to 30% off the full fare.
